For almost 40 years, we have been running joint German-French academic programs together with the Université de Lorraine in France.
After the French and German governments had signed a treaty in 1978, we established the Franco-German Institute for Technology and Business (DFHI/ISFATES).

At the DFHI/ISFATES, we offer fully integrated German-French degree programs in the following fields:
- Franco-German and International Management
- International Logistics Management
- International Tourism Management
- Information Science and Web engineering
- Electrical Engineering – Renewable Energy and Intelligent Systems
- Mechanical Engineering
- European Civil Engineering and Management
Application deadline: 31st of May each year
The binational features of the DFHI/ISFATES academic programmes are characterized through:
- 3- and 5-year programs with alternating study phases on campus in France (Metz) and Germany (Saarbrücken)
- fully integrated degree courses, all jointly attended by German and French students
- joint study and examination regulations
- language training in German, French and English and intercultural training throughout the entire course of study, Chinese track, ERASMUS+
- multilingual courses thanks to the regular exchange of teaching staff
- broad scope of programs through interdisciplinary courses and modules
