The city of Saarbrücken is the state capital and regional centre of the federal state of Saarland, which is situated at the heart of the Saar-Lor-Lux region. The Lorraine region in France is only a stone’s throw away and Luxembourg a mere 90 km from Saarbrücken. More information about the Saarland and how to get there are available here.

The Campus Alt-Saarbrücken is located about 2.5 km from the Railway Station and 2.7 km from the Central Market Square (St. Johanner Markt).

One Tuesday we will visit our Campus Göttelborn where the School of Architecture is located.

Public transport
The campus is within walking distance (20-30 min) from the city centre but in case you want to use public transport: The price for a one-way bus ticket with up to 5 stops (called a “Kurzstreckenticket” in German) is 1.90 Euros; a ticket for the entire day  starts at 5.80 Euros. You can either buy these tickets from a bus driver in the bus itself or at one of the automatic ticket machines located at most bus stops (See: German and French only)
