The htw saar is the second largest state university and the largest University of Applied Sciences of the Saarland. Currently, about 6000 students are enrolled at one of the four faculties across three sites in the city of Saarbrücken. htw saar is offering more than 45 Bachelor and Master programs, either taught in German, or some in English or French.

The School of Engineering at htw saar:

htw saar is Saarland’s premier research and training institution for engineers. The seven departments within the School of Engineering Sciences at htw saar cover the fields: Biomedical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Renewable Energy, Energy Systems Engineering, Automotive Engineering, Computer Science and Informatics, Mechanical Engineering, Process Engineering.

The School of Engineering runs the largest research programme at the University. The research work being performed by the more than 20 research groups and institutes is highly diverse and ranges from applied materials engineering to the neurosciences.
