Impfmöglichkeiten - Status "geimpft" in der EU - Vaccination Options - “Vaccinated” Status in the EU

Due to the "3G" rule (access for vaccinated, recovered or tested individuals only) that applies at all htw saar campuses, the htw saar strongly recommends getting vaccinated. The following vaccination facilities are available and close to the campus:

Vaccination center in the Schanzenberg exhibition halls Saarbrücken remains open up to and including October 15th, 2021
The Southern Saarland Vaccination Center is located in the Schanzenberg exhibition halls in Saarbrücken. Those wishing to be vaccinated can receive a Corona vaccination at the Southern Saarland Vaccination Center without prior appointment. You can choose from the BioNTech and Johnson&Johnson vaccines.

The vaccination center is open from 7 a.m. to 2 p.m. Monday through Friday.

Vaccination campaign at the htw saar Rotenbühl campus from October 25th to November 5th 2021
From October 25th to November 5th, 2021, you can get vaccinated against the SARS-CoV-2 coronavirus at the htw saar's Rotenbühl campus (Waldhausweg 14, 66123 Saarbrücken, Germany). You can choose between the BioNTech and Johnson&Johnson vaccines.

“Vaccinated” Status
In Germany and the European Union (EU), only individuals who have received a COVID-19 vaccine approved in the EU (e.g. BioNTech, Moderna, AstraZeneca, Johnson&Johnson) have the 'vaccinated' status.

People vaccinated with other vaccines that have not yet been approved by the EMA in the EU (e.g. Sputnik V, Sinovac) must be vaccinated again, in order to obtain the status of a “vaccinated” individual in the EU.

This applies not only to incoming international students starting their studies at the htw saar in the 2021/22 winter semester, but also to national and international students returning from abroad who plan to continue their studies at the htw saar and who may have received a vaccination with the Sinovac or SputnikV vaccines abroad.
