The programme of the Symposium on Structural Health Monitoring and Nondestructive Testing SHM-NDT 2018 (4-5 October 2018, Saarbrücken – Germany) is now online.
It includes highly interesting contributions covering current questions of the research community and different industrial sectors.

Internationally acknowledged keynotes will be speaking.

On the first day:

  • Prof. Dr.  Antonia Moropoulou (National Technical University of Athens, Greece) will speak about "The rehabilitation of the Holy Aedicule of the Holy Sepulchre in Jerusalem"
  • Prof. Dr. Randolf Hanke (Fraunhofer IZFP, University Würzburg, Germany) will talk about "Cognitive Sensor systems along the product life cycle"

On the second day:

  • Prof. Dr. Xavier Maldague (University Laval, Quebec Canada) will present the topic "Principles of Infrared Thermography for Non-Destructive Testing with Applications"
  • Prof. Dr. Valérie Kaftandjian (INSA-Lyon) will give a presentation about the "Interest of applying evidence based data fusion to improve the classification reliability of NDT methods"
  • Prof. Dr. Gao Xiaorong (Southwest Jiaotong University, China) will talk about "New Development of NDT Technologies for Safety Assurance and Condition-based Maintenance of CRH High-speed EMU Running Parts"

Only a limited number of places for the Symposium on Structural Health Monitoring and Nondestructive Testing SHM-NDT 2018 are left. You can register until the 16th of September 2018 via https://shm-ndt.net/registration/

The aim of the International Symposium on Structural Health Monitoring and Nondestructive Testing is to provide an overview of the latest breakthroughs in SHM and NDT and their interactions with various industrial sectors. Internationally acknowledged experts and researchers in the field of SHM, NDT and data processing will be speaking. The symposium will be a 2-day conference (4th and 5th of October 2018) with oral presentations, poster session and an industrial exhibition.

The symposium SHM-NDT 2018 provides a Forum for end users, scientists, equipment suppliers and for an interested audience to discuss current scientific topics and to examine products as well as present and future possibilities for SHM and NDT.

The Symposium is organized by htw saar University of Applied Sciences in cooperation with the German Society for Nondestructive Testing (DGZfP e.V.), the French Society for Nondestructive Testing (Cofrend), INSA-Lyon, FITT gGmbH, Fraunhofer IZFP, Fraunhofer EZRT and NDT.net.
