"Supply chains compete, not companies.“ Prof. Martin Christopher
The business landscape has changed tremendously in the last decade. In intensely competitive markets, it used to be enough for companies to manage cost and efficiency by focusing on internal processes and value. But with global competition, things have changed. The real competition is not company against company but rather supply chain against supply chain. Ever more value is being created by suppliers, and so profound logistical expertise is required to coordinate and optimize value added networks.
Logistics and Supply Chain Management are key study programs at the University of Applied Sciences and they provide the necessary skills and knowledge for today’s business.
htw saar started their first dedicated logistics program in 2002 and can look back on more than 15 years of teaching and applied research in logistics.
