Explainer videos are short online videos that can be used to explain course content, new concepts, services, laboratory experiments and much more. Usually they take the form of short, simple animations or drawings and are distributed on the web via YouTube and similar platforms.
This workshop offers an in-depth introduction to the use and production of this thriving teaching tool.
The workshop takes place in the framework of the first htw saar ERASMS+ staff week “Digital learning, videos and Virtual Reality in the university environment: challenges - risks – opportunities” and is held in English.
Das Seminar wird als Wahlmodul für das Zertifikat Wissenschaftskommunikation der htw saar anerkannt.
Goals
At the end of de course, the participants have produced their own first explainer video.

- Scripting, creating and publishing explainer videos
- Hands-on production of your first own (simple) explainer video
