Your online application with the MoveOn Portal at htw saar

Technical requirements/instructions for your online application:

You use the MoveOn application portal for the entire study abroad process (registration, application, communication, uploading documents, etc. - before, during and after your stay).

Only ever use the same e-mail address that you specified in your application. There will be technical problems if you use different e-mail addresses for registration, application and other activities.

The MoveON online application portal has been optimized for Mozilla Firefox or Google Chrome. We cannot guarantee that the application will work properly with other browsers.

You will need Adobe Acrobat Reader for the PDF application. Adobe Acrobat Reader should be installed before starting the application process. Cookies and JavaScript must also be activated in your browser for the application process. Please also check that your Windows is activated when you submit your application. Windows licenses may have expired over the turn of the year. This may result in errors when saving or sending your application.

You can only submit your application once all the fields have been completed correctly, uploaded and marked green.

After you have submitted your application in the portal, you will NOT receive a confirmation e-mail.

Successfully submitted applications are always available as PDF files for download.

up to 5 partner universities in prioritized order possible

Curriculum vitae with scanned photo in the language of instruction at the respective partner university

Letter of motivation per desired partner university in the language of instruction of the respective partner university

For Bachelor students:

German-language grade transcript incl. average grade for Bachelor's or Master's students at htw saar (available for download from the Student Service Center)

For Master's students:
Copy of the Bachelor's degree certificate for Master's students or grade transcript at the end of the Bachelor's program if you want to apply for studies abroad in the Master's program.

English-language degree programs of course submit the English-language transcript of records.

Proof of foreign language skills at level B2 by means of a current certified language certificate

For each exchange program at htw saar partner universities, you must include a B2 language certificate with your application documents by 15 January.

Check the Outgoing Exchange database for the respective "Language Requirements" of the partner universities.

You can only be sent to partner universities for which the submitted language certificate matches.

(usually the national DAAD language certificate or internationally recognized language test such as TOEFL details can be found under the respective partner university in the OutEx)

Students of the School of Business:
For a DAAD language certificate in English, Spanish, French, students of the School of Business must contact the Language Center of Saarland University if a DAAD language certificate is required for the desired partner university(ies).

Students of the English-language degree programs International Business and International Management at the School of Business replace the DAAD language certificate.
But: The DAAD certificate do not replace an international language certificate.

You have to contact until the end of November at the latest the responsible language teacher at htw saar via email:

Identity card or passport for overseas destinations or also for the UK (make sure it is valid until after your stay abroad!)
