On October 8, 2026, there will be a welcome event for all first-semester engineering students.
Depending on your program, you’ll be welcomed either at 9 a.m. or 10 a.m. by the faculty leadership, the dean’s office team, and the student council. In the Large Lecture Hall (Room 10.01.07), you’ll receive basic information about starting your studies so you can better find your way around the university. 

Afterward, you will be met by the program coordinators for your degree program, who will be happy to answer any questions you may have specifically about your program.

Please note that you have been divided into two groups, so there are different times for the welcome session:

• Group 1 Kick-Off at 9 a.m.: Maschinenbau/Verfahrenstechnik, Mechanical Engineering, Biomedizintechnik, Elektrotechnik, Erneuerbare Energien/Energiesystemtechniker
• Group 2 Kick-Off at 10 a.m.: Informatik (diverse Studiengänge), Mechatronik/Sensortechnik, Fahrzeugtechnik
• For everyone: Starting at 12:00 p.m., there will be a casual get-together with all the freshmen, the student council, your mentors and instructors, as well as information booths with lots of useful information that every student should know and that will definitely make your college life easier.
