Master's

You must apply for your desired master's program.

Applications are submitted online via the SIM application portal at htw saar:

New applicants*

Current htw saar students**

Procedure:

• Register* or log in** to the SIM application portal* or SIM student portal**
• Select the "Bachelor's & Master's Program Application" tile
• Under “Application” in the drop-down menu, select the option “Master’s Programs (1st Semester)” or “Master’s Programs (2nd Semester)”
• Complete the application in full, including all sections (see menu at the top left of the application)
• Upload any required documents in the designated section
• Click "Submit Application" (button at the bottom right of the application)

Once the relevant admissions committee has completed its review, the admission decisions are issued.

If the application deadline is July 15 (start of studies in the winter semester), decisions are typically issued in August.
If the application deadline is January 15 (start of studies in the summer semester), decisions are typically issued in February.

As soon as a decision is available, you will be notified via email and on the application portal. The decision is available in your application portal under the “Documents” button in the “My Decisions” section.

Once you have received your admission letter in the application portal, you must accept the offer of admission through the portal by the deadline and submit your application for enrollment through the portal by the deadline.

• Applications for the summer semester:
  • The regular application deadline for Master’s programs with limited enrollment is January15.
    Additionally, application deadlines may be extended depending on available capacity. Youcan select the programs that are currently still open on the application portal.
  • The application deadline for Master’s programs with open enrollment ends on March 31.
     
• Applications for the winter semester:
  • The regular application deadline for Master’s programs with limited enrollment is July15.
    Additionally, application deadlines may be extended depending on available capacity. Youcan select the programs that are currently still open in the application portal.
  • The application deadline for Master’s programs with open enrollment ends on September 30.

The SIM Portal displays the current processing status and any necessary steps on the respective application tile. We will also keep you updated via email.
