We operate by semesters rather than by 'terms'. Twice a year (in mid of September or mid of March) accepted students can start their exchange program at htw saar with an orientation program. This includes an intensive German and orientation course and social events which allows a smooth start of the exchange program, making new friends and enjoying the spirit of an exchange. This important preparatory phase is followed by the start of lectures, typically in mid of April (our summer semester) or mid of October (our winter semester). You will find our Fact Sheet 2024/25 with the dates and deadlines and further links here.
Classes are usually held Monday to Friday during the day. Some courses of study requires students to attend class on Saturday or in the evenings.
