The parent-child rooms enable both students and employees to bring their children to the university in the event of emergencies or childcare bottlenecks. The Parent-Child Room was set up at the Alt-Saarbrücken campus as part of the "Familiengerechte Hochschule" audit (family-friendly university audit). The room is equipped with a changing table, a high chair, a children's seating corner, lots of different toys and crafting materials from the "Balu und Du Project" and a large work table.

Alt-Saarbrücken Campus
The Parent-Child Room in Building10 is located on the second floor in room 10.01.10. It can be used for breastfeeding, changing diapers, resting, playing and working. Reservations can be made through the Family Office (Tel. 0681-5867-680, familienoSpam@noSpamhtwsaarnoSpam.de).
There are also microwaves for heating baby food in the parent-child room, the new and old cafeterias, and the recreation room in Building 11.

In the central building, there are also changing tables on the ground floor in both the men's and women's toilets.

Rotenbühl Campus
The room is equipped with a changing table, a crib, a high chair, a children's play corner, various toys and a desk with a telephone. The furnishings were kindly sponsored by Möbel Martin.
