What can I study at htw saar?

What modules you can select for your exchange program at htw saar depends on different criteria. To name the most important ones:
- academic background (what do you study at home, majors, specialisation,...)
- year and level of study (Bachelor's or Master's) at the home university
- study towards a double degree program (typically a mix of mandatory modules and electives do apply)
- study during winter or summer semester
- German language proficiency (some programs only offer a few modules taught in English or are being entirely taught in German) ,
- English language proficiency (modules taught in English require a B2-, some a C1-proficiency level)
- last but not least: the requirements set by the home university in order to fulfil the conditions for credit transfer

Is it possible to select modules from different study programs and semesters and even from different levels of study? Depending on your academic background and language proficiency, basically, this is possible. However, even if both coordinators (from sending and host university) will approve your course selection, take into account that the more you mix up modules from different programs and semesters, the higher is the risk for timetable conflicts. As the actual timetables will however not be published before the 3 or 4 weeks that preceed the start of lectures, your module selection will remain provisional and changes may apply. All students will have a meeting with 'their' International Coordinator upon arrival and will discuss with them potential changes.
