The DFHI is a cooperation between thehtwsaar andthe Université de Lorraine. Founded in 1978 on the basis of a state treaty, it is the oldest and still the largestFranco-German university cooperation, with around 450 students and almost 3,000 alumni. The DFHI brings together practice, diversity, cosmopolitanism and entrepreneurial spirit.
The range of courses on offer includes seven Bachelor's degree courses and five Master's degree courses in the fields of Management and Engineering & Computer Science:

htw saar offers dual study programs via ASW. Since 1 September 2021, students who study dual courses via ASW are fully enrolled at the university and earn a state-recognized Bachelor's degree.
All dual study programs follow a proven model: students complete their theoretical phases in Neunkirchen at ASW and their practical phases in cooperating companies.
The Continuing Education Center Saar - CEC Saar is a joint institution of Saarland University and Saarland University of Applied Sciences (htw saar) and bundles the activities of the two universities in the field of academic continuing education. The cooperation agreement was signed by both universities in 2016.
The CEC Saar supports the development, marketing and organization of continuing education programmes.
It offers a wide range of continuing education courses and certificates in business, social sciences, law and engineering.
It is aimed at working professionals as well as university graduates who wish to expand their qualifications while working, as flexibly as possible, independent of time and place and with a practical orientation.
