The aim of the Technical Project Management program is to prepare foreign engineers for the German job market. The 11-month program includes language and specialist courses at htw saar and takes place in parallel with practical work in the company.
Engineers are becoming increasingly scarce - especially in Saarland. At the same time, there is potential for foreign graduates with a degree in engineering who are looking for work in Saarland.
The Saarland University of Applied Sciences (htw saar) offers a certificate program in "Technical Project Management" to further qualify foreign engineering specialists for the local economy and integrate them into companies.
The aim of the qualification is to expand knowledge of the German language, intercultural competence and work culture and to deepen technical skills. An integrated internship also makes it possible to apply what has been learned and prepare for a permanent position.
The certificate program extends over two semesters and comprises 60 ECTS credits. The program includes German courses, modules such as intercultural competence, introduction to technical project management and individually selectable specialist courses as well as an 11-month part-time internship at a company in the region.
In addition to acquiring further specialist skills, the focus is on learning German, especially the technical language of engineering. The application of theoretical knowledge in practice is another important goal of the certificate program.
After successful completion, the university certificate "Technical Project Management" is awarded by htw saar.
This program is aimed at foreign engineers who would like to improve their technical and language skills through intensive courses and professional application and prepare for their entry into an engineering profession in Germany.
