The tasks and composition of the Library Advisory Board are regulated in the Regulations for the University Library of Saarland University of Applied Sciences (current version dated January 31, 2018).
The library advisory board and library management are bodies of the university library.
The Advisory Board submits applications to the Presidential Board, decides on the use of the budget allocated to the library, decides on the principles of stock replenishment and the focus of future acquisitions, issues the user regulations, decides on the establishment, merging and dissolution of sub-libraries, proposes the appointment or revocation of an appointment of the head of the university library to the Senate.
