Lecturer mobility (ERASMUS+ STA)

The International Office supports ERASMUS+ teaching stays abroad for htw saar lecturers.
ERASMUS+ STA lecturer mobility is based on bilateral agreements that the individual departments conclude with their ERASMUS+ partner universities.

Who is eligible for funding?

Funding is available in particular to the following groups of people:
Professors, lecturers and academic staff at htw saar

What is funded?

ERASMUS+ funds guest lectureships at European partner universities that have a valid Erasmus Charter for Higher Education (ECHE), i.e. htw saar must have an ERASMUS+ contract with the ERASMUS STA agreement with this partner university.
htw saar lecturers should strengthen the European dimension of the partner university through their ERASMUS+ stay, supplement its range of courses and impart their specialist knowledge to students who do not want to or cannot study abroad. Where possible, the development of joint study programs between the partner universities should play a role, as should the exchange of teaching content and methods.

Duration of ERASMUS+ funding

The minimum duration of lecturer mobility must be at least 2 days. As a rule, the lecturers visit the partner university for one week. The teaching workload is at least eight hours per stay or per week or part thereof.

Financial benefits for ERASMUS+ lecturer mobility

The financial support is based on the different costs of living in the target countries. Depending on the Erasmus+ project, different funding rates and options apply depending on the country group.
The funding recipients receive financial grants for their stay abroad depending on the destination country.
In addition to the daily rates, travel costs are added depending on the distances between the starting point and destination of the mobility, which are determined uniformly using a calculation tool.

i.e.

  • financial grants for their stay abroad depending on the destination country
  • Subsidy for the use of sustainable means of transportation, if applicable
  • Special grants for participants with disabilities or chronic illnesses, if applicable
