DynaServ
Support for dynamic scheduling tasks in forwarding companies through service-oriented integration of online data.
In the research project, distributed, up-to-date information is made usable for the support of scheduling and control tasks in transportation companies. The research and development objective is crystallized along two lines:
- Integration of online data into existing forwarding software in the form of a service-oriented architecture,
- Formalization of the planning and control problems arising from the extended data basis and development of corresponding algorithms for dynamic decision support (also as system-independent services).
Relevant online data that will be available to the dispatcher and the driver as a basis for decision-making as part of the project includes, among other things
- Vehicle data and driver deployment times from vehicle telematics,
- Information on the current traffic situation and availability of truck parking spaces,
- Freight exchanges for arranging freight and loading space,
- current fuel prices (incl. geographical distribution).
