The preparatory course is offered in the winter semester, i.e. before the start of the Master's degree program, and offers the opportunity to acquire the basic knowledge required to meet the admission requirements from the business or artistic fields at the Faculty of Economics at htw saar, Saarland University of Music and Saarland University of Fine Arts within a semester preceding the Master's degree program. This enables applicants who have completed their Bachelor's degree with fewer than 210 ECTS credits, but at least 180 ECTS credits, to make up the maximum of 30 ECTS credits missing. An official document will of course be issued as proof of achievement for the work completed in the preparatory course.

For graduates of the Faculty of Business Administration and Economics, the basics of the artistic disciplines "Musicology" and "Aesthetics, Art/Design Science" as well as the methods of empirical social research are offered.
