FAQ

The Industrial Engineering and Management degree course is both versatile and future-oriented. It offers excellent career prospects. The small group principle we practice (groups with a maximum of 40 students) creates a dialog between students and lecturers. This is also confirmed by our students (a video with student voices can be found here, from timestamp 13:25).

The Industrial Engineering Master's degree program requires a Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering (at least 210 ECTS credits and seven semesters of study). In addition, interest and motivation for the subject areas of technology and business are very important and decisive. The fear that you need a very good knowledge of mathematics and physics is not true. Please also visit the website for an introduction to the course from a student perspective. There is also a FAQ on frequently asked questions from students.

Studies begin in the summer semester of each year (starting at the beginning of April). The application deadline is January 15 of each year. If places are available, it is possible to start in the winter semester (application deadline is July 15 of the year).

The academic degree "Master of Sciences" (abbreviated to M.Sc.) is awarded on successful completion of the course.

The degree course can be completed part-time, provided that the requirements of the currently valid enrolment regulations (ImO) of htw saar are met. The standard period of study is 6 semesters for part-time students.

Yes, the degree program is accredited and has also been awarded the EUR-ACE seal.

If you have any further questions about the course, please contact the Director of Studies, Prof. Dr. Daniel Abawi, daniel.abawi@htwsaar.de
