In addition to its strong regional roots in the Saar-Lor-Lux triangle and its partnerships with the Université de Lorraine and the Université du Luxembourg, the Civil Engineering Department at htw saar has long maintained international partnerships with other universities.

These partnerships facilitate student exchanges for semesters abroad, invitations to faculty members to give lectures on specific topics, and joint courses in the form of workshops.
