The Department of Law, Academic Affairs and Data Protection is responsible for all legal issues and legal matters at htw saar. We work closely with the university management, the committees and departments of the central administration and other institutions. Our aim is to find both legally compliant and practical solutions to a wide range of issues.

Our area of responsibility includes

• Advising the university bodies
• Representing htw saar in judicial and extrajudicial legal disputes
• Conducting appeal proceedings
• Drafting, updating and publishing internal university regulations and guidelines
• Contract management (drafting, reviewing and supporting the negotiation of contracts)
• Procurement (implementation of public tenders)
