The Circular Economy Experience Lab Saar is an interactive hands-on laboratory. It is aimed at pupils, prospective students and students and enables them to gain practical experience in the circular economy and life cycle assessment.
By combining 3D printing recycling and life cycle assessment, the lab offers innovative opportunities to discuss key sustainability issues with a wide range of stakeholders. Relevant questions include, for example: Does recycling 3D prints make ecological sense? When is 3D printing of spare parts sustainable? Or what carbon footprint do digital processes such as Google requests leave behind?
In the Circular Economy Experience Lab, the environmental impact of products and everyday decisions is conveyed in a comprehensible way. From the choice of transportation to the question of whether it is more ecological to make your own pizza or buy it frozen, the lab provides practical insights.
The lab shows how engineers can make a significant contribution to shaping a sustainable future through product design, production and maintenance.
